From My Grandfather’s House to Yours
About Me
Hi my name is Mir.
I grew up hearing stories about my grandfather’s house filled with the hum of looms and the smell of wool and dye. He didn’t weave himself, but his home was alive with the making of carpets. It wasn’t for display. These carpets were made because people lived on them, ate on them, slept on them, prayed, gathered.
In our culture, a carpet isn’t decor, it’s the ground we live on.
Mir’s Nomadic Looms is my way of continuing that legacy.
This isn’t just craft. It’s inheritance.
